Benefits of Trampoline

Cardiovascular Fitness

Trampolines provide a vigorous aerobic workout that increase your heart muscles’ strength and fitness. This, together with your increased pulse rate brought about by jumping, benefits your heart and circulation by ensuring that oxygen is pumped around your body more efficiently, making you feel healthier and more alert.

Great Exercise

According to a NASA study, jumping on a trampoline for 10 minutes is equivalent to a 30-minute run, giving you the same benefits in a third of the time. An hour on the trampolines can burn up to 1,000 calories!

Low Impact

Unlike some sports like jogging and tennis, trampolining has comparatively low joint impact for a high impact, intensive exercise routine. This is because your vertical acceleration and deceleration is soaked up by the trampoline pad, which takes up over 80% of the shock; whereas hard surfaces such as roads do not have enough give to do this. This means that trampolining protects your joints whilst exercising your muscles.

Stronger Bones

Trampoline exercise is strenuous and the repetition of the jump action puts the bones under a small amount of stress which is needed to help your musculoskeletal system build up and improves bone mineral content. Each landing from a jump is equivalent to twice the force of gravity: the strength this allows you to develop over time increases the density of your bones helping to prevent brittle bone disease, or osteoporosis.

Stronger Muscles

Powerful jumping strengthens the muscles in your legs, as they work hard to push you upwards. With repetitive jumping, your muscles have to contract more often than they do with most other exercises, which increases their stamina.

Increased Metabolism

Trampoline exercise has been proven to increase your metabolic rate, helping your body to process nutrients more efficiently. This helps to you keep your weight down.

Co-ordination and Motor skills

Trampoline exercise is a great way to develop the skills that allow you to undertake a number of items requiring concentration at the same time: bouncing, balancing, maintaining the body’s position, and anticipating the next action. This is proven to have a positive impact on bilateral motor skills while helping with co-ordination.

Lymphatic system Cleansing

The lymph system, which carries toxic substances out of your body, needs gravity and body movement to work properly. Bouncing on a trampoline stimulates the lymphatic drainage system to get rid of toxins, bacteria and waste from your cells, effectively cleansing them.

Body Toning

Trampolining uses a variety of muscles, including your legs and stomach, because you use your core muscles to stay balanced. Bouncing on a trampoline on a regular basis can help to keep your stomach and bottom toned.

Mental Health

Not only does improved circulation pump clean oxygen into your brain, making you feel more alert, but also the physical activity you perform whilst trampolining will make you feel happier, more positive, and even more self-confident. Endorphins, the positive mood-enhancing natural chemicals released by all exercise including jogging and cycling, are triggered by trampolining; but, added to this, the sheer fun factor of jumping up and down will make you smile, make you laugh, and make you feel really happy. It’s unavoidable: it’s hard to feel blue when you’re bouncing.
